The British Raj

The British Raj

Britain is a continent located somewhere in the left of the earth. It is close to Africa and Iceland. Everybody knows about the war between India and Great Britain which was going on for 89 years. But I am going to tell you in detail about what happened during that period of time.Britain had been trading in India since about 1600, but it did not begin to seize large sections of land until 1757, after the battle of Plassey. This battle pitted 3000 soldiers of British East India company against the 5000 strong army of the young Nawab of Bengal, Siraj ud Daulah, and his French East India company allies. Fighting began on the morning of June 23, 1757. Heavy rain spoiled the Nawab's canon powder (The British covered theirs). The Nawab's lost at least 500 troops to Britain's 22. Britain took about $5 million from the Bengali treasury. Many Indians were not happy because of the cultural changes imposed by the British. They worried that the Hindu and Muslim India would be "Christianized". Later the control of India was given to a British Governor-General. The British raj included 2/3 of modern India. After World War 1&2 the real struggle for freedom started and India was led by a political new comer called Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi mostly known as Mahatma Gandhi right now. In World War 1 and 2 India fought very hard so INC launched the "Quit India" movement, calling for immediate withdrawal of Britons from India. In response the British arrested the INC's leadership. They were badly beaten by the British army. The cash-strapped Britain announced that the British will leave India by June,1948.

Environmental Issues

                                        The Bowl of Environment

Global Warming
Well I think you people will know what is Global Warming and the issues which are caused by it because the talk is still going on in the people and it should, but just in-case I am telling you. Global warming is the rise in the average temperature of Earth's atmosphere and oceans. There are many issues caused by it. The main problem is that it is getting too hot. Since the 20th century the Earth's surface temperature has increased by 0.8°C (1.4°F). Scientists are more than 90% sure
that is is cause by greenhouse gases caused by
human activities such as burning of Fossil Fuels
and Deforestation. Currently people are dying
because of Global Warming, on 24th of May about
117 people died in Andhra Pradhesh, India. Many
people are trying to save the world from more Global
warming but it is not really making an impact on the
world, so lets all hold hands and save the world from
Global warming.

Tigers
Tigers are the second most known animal in jungles.
Tigers are getting more and less day by day but in
most of the places the are getting less, like when you
are sucking onto a candy it gets small, just like that
the number of Tigers are getting less. The number of
tigers are getting less because the hunters all around
the world are killing them for money, alot of money.
They use the Tiger's skin for making clothes out of it,
some of the times they hunt tigers for their bones also.
There are only 1411 tigers left in India and about
3200 left on the earth so whoever is killing them
don't kill them because later there will not be any
tigers left on earth. The most important reason why
you should kill tigers is because even they have a
right to live and I think there will be a law that
'Nobody can do something which harms anything
or anyone.'

 Pollution
Pollution is a main part of earth and there are 4 types
pollution.

  • Sound Pollution
  • Air Pollution
  • Land Pollution
  • Water Pollution
Sound pollution, what is it, Sound Pollution is the
the pollution caused by noise, in simple words. About
every single sound makes sound pollution. Too many
sound waves are released in the air and that is bad for
human creatures.
Air Pollution, what is it, Air Pollution is the pollution
which is caused due to harmful gases such as smoke
when it is in the atmosphere. Many of us do Air Pollution
by smoking, and smoking is also bad for your body.
Land Pollution, what is it, Land Pollution is the pollution
caused due to damage on the land and littering. Most
of us throw candy wrappers, bottles and more on the ground and
that causes Land Pollution.
Water Pollution, what is it, Water pollution is the same as
Land Pollution except that it takes place in the water.
Some people go on houseboats and throw their bottles
in the water and some people go and throw food and paper glasses
which causes Water Pollution.
Lets all try to stop this by throwing all your trash in
your garbage can or in any other garbage place near you.
Let us all also stop smoking.

Deforestation

Deforestation is basically cutting
down trees. One main reason why
trees are getting cut is because of
too much use of paper. Many of us
use paper for writing down notes and making paper
airplanes, instead of just using paper one time why
can't we use it two times like when you give home-
work you can give math one side and English one
side that way it will save paper and it will not make
the students homework folder too stuffed. There is
also another main reason which is money so we will
not have any more money on Earth if we cut
down more trees. From now on lets all try our best
to save paper.
